A bus monitor and a bus driver were arrested this week, accused of abusing a child on a bus in Methuen, Massachusetts, police said. Chief Scott J. McNamara said two women were arrested Tuesday and charged in connection with the physical abuse of a 10-year-old child on a bus contracted with Methuen Public Schools. Bus monitor Nancy Vasquez, 56, of Lawrence, was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a disabled person, police said. Bus driver Marlene Cruz, 38, of Lawrence, was arrested and charged with permitting abuse of a disabled person, police said.
