CARL RUSSO PHOTOS: The annual Methuen Fishing Derby at Forest Lake, sponsored by Methuen Firefighters Local 1691, was held on Saturday, May 13. Over 100 people attended with 70 children of all ages officially participating in the free event. Firefighters from Local 1691 volunteered to serve free hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch. Methuen's Mayor Neil Perry provided free ice cream before awarding trophies in different fishing categories. Former Methuen city councilor, Ron Marsan of Marsan and Son general contractors was on hand to offer free warm apple crisp and other treats.
